Hello folks!
I’ve had a few requests from people to release a “hard” copy of the book as opposed to digital, so me and my team are working hard to comply. We’re hoping to have a paperback version of the release ready to order in the next few days. I’ll be sure to post here as soon as it’s available. We’ll also plan on having both a paperback and digital version of our books from now on. The digital copy will always be cheaper, because I think it’s silly to pay the same price for a file as you do something that you hold in your hands and have to wait to receive. I also promise I’ll do my best to keep the prices of these paperback versions of the books as affordable as possible. We’re shooting to release You Only Die Twice, our first fiction novel, sometime next month. You can check out a short blurb about that under our “books” page. I’ll have a sample chapter available for you to check out next week. I really appreciate all of the support everyone has shown. Please continue to spread the word, and don’t forget to head over to the Amazon page and write a review when you get a chance.

Thank You
I just want to thank everyone who purchased a copy of my book the last few days. I really appreciate your support. I have an even bigger thank you for those of you who have helped to promote, re-tweet, and link on Facebook. This thing is getting around by word of mouth more than anything and I really appreciate you taking the time to do so. On that note, if you’ve finished reading the book and have a few minutes, please stop by the Amazon page for the book and write up a short review. The more reviews and ratings I have, the better the chance someone might stumble on it. I’m honestly not too concerned about making money off of it (it’s one of the reasons it’s priced at $0.99, the lowest Amazon will allow), I’d just really like for people to see it as I think it might be able to help those who struggle with a lot of the issues I have my whole life. To that end, if you have purchased a copy, I enabled “lending”, so you are able to lend your copy to a friend that has a Kindle. I’m not sure how that process works exactly, but it’s an option.

Spacing issues…
For those of you reading DWTT on a smartphone the spacing for the titles, etc. might look funky due to the font type and the smaller screen size. It should look much better on a tablet and it looks like my draft did on the PC app. Lesson learned. I’ll need to choose a different font/size for future books so it works better with smaller screens.

Down With the Thickness is Now Available
My first e-book, Down With the Thickness: Viewing the World From a Fat Guy’s Perspective is now live and available for purchase for the Amazon Kindle. If you don’t have a Kindle that’s okay, because you can still read a copy using a free Kindle App download available for most smartphones, tablets, PC’s and Mac’s. Please check it out and help spread the word! I’m poor and need the money! :-p Click Here to purchase.

I’m an Idiot…
Okay, so I’m an idiot. This is not news to those of you who know me. When submitting DWTT apparently under “contributors” I didn’t add myself as the author, because I thought putting myself as the publisher and everything else covered that. I thought contributors was for the additional people that helped. So, after 24 hours of submissions I finally got an e-m ail that said “hey, stupid, you didn’t list an author. Long story short- in another 12 hours it should be available.

Get Down With the Thickness!
Okay boys and girls, assuming everything goes right and there isn’t any hitches that need to be fixed by 3 A.M. or so Down With the Thickness should be available for purchase on the Amazon Kindle store for all English speaking countries. It should be available world-wide in the next 24-48 hours (it takes that long for translation). I’ll probably post this again, only with more gusto, tomorrow when it’s official and available. But please, pick up a copy, tell your friends, have them tell their friends. Please help get the word out. It’ll only be $0.99. You can read it on basically any electronic device known to man (there’s an app for that). You spend more for a pack of gum or an item on the dollar menu at McDonald’s and I’d like to think you’d get more out of my book.

DWTT Final Cover
Well, here it is, the final cover for Down With the Thickness by our own Shawn Skvarna:

Purty, ain’t it? I’ve got a few final things to get into place, but if everything works out the book should be on sale for the Amazon Kindle by the end of next week. It’ll only cost $0.99, and even if you don’t own a Kindle you can still purchase and read it on your PC, iPhone, Android, iPad, etc. The Kindle app is free to download on any PC or device. Please spread the word, won’t you?

DWTT Cover Rough Draft
Well, here’s a rough draft of the cover by Shawn Skvarna. I think it looks awesome, and it’s scary how much it looks like me. He’s still playing around with the title and backgrounds but I think it’s a great foundation.

Update: I Suck At This and Other Sucky Things
You’d think for someone who has no other job but to write and update this place I’d be better about updating this place. You’d think that…and you’d be wrong. Anyway, Down with the Thickness has been edited and Shawn is almost done with a groovy cover, so that should hit digital Kindle bookshelves in the next couple of weeks. On a sad note apparently in the last few years someone has taken the Authentic Entertainment title and actually been successful with it. Authentic Entertainment LLC, Inc. and whatever else they throw behind it produces reality TV shite like Ace of Cakes and Auction Kings…basically Bravo stuff. While Mark and I started using AE over a decade ago, it’s not worth the hassle of continuing to use it then have some mega corp come a suing, so we’re going to go with an alternate name for our little “production company”. Pudding! Productions. The icon will be hilarious, and fans of Supernatural (the awesome TV show you should be watching if you haven’t. It’s on Netflex. Go watch. I’ll wait.) should automatically get the reference when you see it. We’ll have that stuff for you soon.

Update on Write-a-thon 2012
Alrighty, well I’ve got You Only Die Twice and Down with the Thickness pretty much done. Now all that’s left is for me to get the feedback from test readers, do the edits, and wait for Shawn to finish the covers and interior art. Shawn already showed me a few rough drafts of the You Only Die Twice covers and I’ve been floored. He’s really nailing the old pulp fiction vibe and I can’t wait to see the finished product. For my next project I decided to finish up Just Super. Some of you may remember it as a serial I was doing a few years back. I decided I’d dust it off and get it in the can as well. For those who don’t know, Just Super is about a guy who has had super powers since he was thirteen, but he hid them because he was afraid of what would happen if people found out. About ten years later this guy finds out that he’s dying, and so he decides that with the last 6 months he has left he wants to use his powers to help people and try to make a difference in the world. He hires a reporter to live with him and document the last six months in the life of the world’s first real-life “super hero”. So that’ll be next.
What I’m trying to do is put out a shot-gun spread of different types of books. I want to try and reach the largest audience possible, and hopefully at least one will strike a chord with readers and give me a foundation to work from for future projects. They’re all pretty short books, and as such I’ll be able to produce them quickly and make them affordable for people to buy on impulse. That’s my hope anyway. So, keep your eyes peeled. The goal is to have the Clay Colt novel out by the end of the month.
